Montana’s top two economic sources are agriculture and tourism, both of which require clean water. As anglers, we know how important clean water is.  As taxpayers, most of us are fed up with paying for the more than 200 mines polluting our state.

Subject: Chapter involvement

The I-186 field team is excited to hit the ground running with our fall campaign next week and my co-field director Jeff and I wanted to reach out to see what the Missouri River Fly Fishers could help us with to be sure I-186 passes in November.

Attached you will find a document asking people to sign up for various tasks we will need help with throughout the campaign. The third tab labelled “Missouri River Fly Fishers” is where your group can start signing up. The document automatically updates and saves as people add to it.

The most pressing need is to find speakers for a campaign kickoff event at the beginning of August. If you know folks in the public health, business or civil service communities who might be willing to speak at the event, please let Jeff and I know.

The other tasks on the spreadsheet are self-explanatory but please let me know if you have any questions.

Another thing that your chapter can do to help us pass I-186 in November is sign up to knock doors. People interested in volunteering in this capacity can sign up to knock doors on our website.

Finally, we are on the search again for office space in Great Falls for our field team. If you know of anything that may be available until November, please let Jeff and I know.
